Hi

Was the following email "dissecting" the email it was a reply to, did it
"put people on the spot" or "call people out"?

If people think that this email was in breach of the following two
points in the proposed netiquette guidelines then I don't think I could
support these points:

  * Focus on the main arguments, and try to avoid being pulled into
    "dissecting" the emails of other people.

  * Try not to "put people on the spot" or "call people out". While it
    is important to raise concerns, people who feel attacked tend to
    react defensive. Try to raise your concerns without cornering the
    other people, but rather opening doors.

Sorry to be "pointing out particular emails" but without knowing what
past emails would have breached the proposed netiquette guidelines I'd
feel uncomfortable endorsing them or agreeing to abide by them.
