COCA-COLA:
DESTROYING
LIVES, LIVELIHOODS & COMMUNITIES
An international campaign, led by communities, has emerged to hold
Coca-Cola accountable for its crimes in Colombia and India.
Coca-Cola is guilty of
* Complicity in the murder and torture of trade union organizers in
Colombia.
* Creating water shortages, pollution and selling poisoned drinks in
India.
JOIN US to hear from activists from Colombia and India about this KEY
international campaign that assert the rights of workers, the rights of
communities over natural resources and the right to live free of corporate
terror.
Speakers include:
Edgar Paez, Director of International Affairs, SINALTRAINAL
<http://www.sinaltrainal.org>
SINALTRAINAL represents food and beverage industry workers in Colombia, and
its leaders, workers and families have been subject to a gruesome cycle of
murder, violence and torture in Coca-Cola bottling plants in Colombia.
Amit Srivastava, Director, India Resource Center <www.IndiaResource.org>
The India Resource Center is a bi-national (India-US) group which campaigns
actively in the US and internationally on behalf of community struggles
against Coca-Cola in India.
