Good for you, Ana.
Unfortunately the UK list is now stuck with me, until someone else
offers to do it, or until I'm asked to stand down; and I don't even know
what "Arafura" means. I spent one afternoon trying to read up on this
issue, and as has been said elsewhere it seems to be a problem with
personalities, none of whom I am acquainted with, even by email.
I haven't noticed that anyone other than you is especially interested in
this matter (other than gdm, perhaps). Personally I'd be most reluctant
to meddle in the affairs of another region without at least knowing
personally someone who is directly involved; which I don't. Therefore
this particular matter is mostly flying way over my head; for me to
attempt to summarise would be exceedingly vain, and probably grossly
misleading. All I can do is to point out briefly to this list that there
has been activity on UK-Process, and those who are interested will have
to follow the link.
Does this list desire me to carry forward a request for a deadline
extension?
If I were to do that, then it would behove us eventually to produce some
kind of collective response to the proposal, and not just sit on our
thumbs. And I don't think *default* collective response (such as might
result from one person expressing a view, and nobody else dissenting)
would suffice to justify a request for an extension.
