OK, so I have the impression that we need a list of those global lists
that currently lack adequate UK liaison. At the moment, I'm not willing
to volunteer for finance.
I think there has been a call for a liaison on imc-process, and I'm up
for that, if you want me to do it.
My background:
I've been subscribed to imc-process for just a short while, but I've
spent a few hours in the archives at various times over the last few
years. I am interested in the global process subject-matter, but my
(few) posts to UK lists on matters related to global process will expose
me as something of a fence-sitter on global matters. I suggest that this
might actually be a good qualification for a liaison to that list.
I don't speak Spanish, but I can produce bad (non-idiomatic) renditions
into French of reasonably simple material. Posts to global lists are
supposed to be in English or Spanish, and one other language, yeah?
I've been a volunteer in good standing in Oxford for several years. I
moderate the Oxford lists (on my own, since Vincent went back to
Canada). I also help moderate a number of UK lists, and one global list:
imc-licence.
If you chose to take me up on this offer, I would hope to get from this
list some guidance, both initially and on an on-going basis, as to how
you people expect me to conduct myself (harsh criticism included, if
that's what it comes to).
I use this email address for nearly all of my public remarks, whether
within Indymedia or not. MrDemeanours at other domains are also likely
to be me (this domain was registered in 2002). Other handles at this
domain are all me (with possibly a very few trivial exceptions). So I am
fairly susceptible to Google investigation.
Best regards,
Jack.
