With no fixed contact details I thought it be prudent for me to e-mail as
many contacts I have as possible regarding ym query.
I go by the name of Jack Writer on Indymedia sites and online.
I wrote an article entitled "An Opinion on Israel" a few days ago. It was
first of all hidden, for apparent breach of guidelines. I recived some
agressive and lewid comments, off two people.
Later I found my article to have been completly removed. I would like to
know why; my article itself did not breach your writers guidelines; I
proofread all of my article itself.
I included no swearwords, accusations, only an open minded opinion. The
comments I recived however, one by 'twilight' were very accusing,
contradictory, threatening. Apparenly, I am a terroist accoding to Twilight.
This is not the point. I thought Indymedia promoted free speach - "be the
media". Now I am starting to belive that anything which is not in line with
the general jist of the indy sites will be removed.
My article leaned against Israel and mentioned the anti-israel feel across
the medias. I feel like I have been excluded because of my statment.
This si the second e-mail I have sent enquiring about this apparent
censorship of my work. If I can't get a reply off you guys, I shall write an
article about this. The apparent censorship, the fact that if an article (it
seems) does not fit in to the general concensus of the indy dites then it is
removed.
In all honesty as a writer I am outraged. I anticipate your reply, and the
return of ym article.
Please find attached the non-offending said article.
I also have hardback copies of the vile comments which were left on it, the
comments which SHOULD of been removed, rather than my article,
Jack W,
Writer
