[Imc-uk-radio] G8 Counter conference audio archiving

Hi there,

quick progress updates on two counter-conference events and potential for 
indymedia / audio archiving

i've been in touch with organisers and they seem cool (subject to internal 
sign off next week) for us to plug laptops into their conference PA to mp3 
record the events - chop into sensible sections with speakers details and 
subject matter as text and upload to radio.indy / radio oneoneworld etc on 
the same day - fast, quick and clean.

have requested audio output cable from pa ending in minijack / power cable 
socket for laptop (both long enough for laptop to be positioned somewhere 
sensible) and notes on speakers etc

the events are:

Sunday 3rd July - Edinburgh: 'G8 Corporate Dreams... Global Nightmare' 
Counter Conference - (11am till 6pm) - World Development Movement, War on 
Want, People & Planet and Friends of the Earth - Speakers include: George 
Monbiot, Trevor Ngwane, Meena Raman, Walden Bello, Caroline Lucas, Joel 
Bakan (The Corporation) and The Yes Men - see: http://www.corporateg8.org

Tuesday 5th July : Global Warming 8 Conference - Edinburgh (9.30am-12pm) 
organised by Working Group on Development and Climate Change - Eight 
participants, primarily from developing countries, have been invited to 
speak on climate change and development see pdf -

scheduling follow on interviews with participants has also been requested - 
will report back, but obviously that's a slightly different proposal and 
we'd need to work out how to cover that.

obviously we'd want to cover other events / mobilisation press conferences 
if they happen, but these are just two easy hits :)
