(3) is a CLASSPATH issue...

"source /etc/mir-setup/env" will set up your environment appropriately, 
fixing (1) and (3), however I'm sure it *was* working fine without doing 
this -- but I created this file on a previous occasion when I had 
exactly this problem.

As for (2), which site are you seeing this problem on?
