To really get your head into stuff to start with, I find it easiest
actually meeting someone.  So where are you, geographically?  If you can
make it to a meeting of a collective, or arrange a meeting with a local
techie, that would probably be the best way to get involved.

As a second best, we have an IRC server.  If you go to irc.indymedia.org
and join the #uk channel, you may well find some people to chat to about
what needs to be done.
