So do I.  I suppose the ideas of this thread argue for integrating the
calendar into Mir, rather than simply having an RSS feed.  But maybe
not, hmm

One way of guiding people is to use a pre-publish page, as used by
Melbourne - http://melbourne.indymedia.org/prepublish.php#publishform

I think it is generally a good idea.  (Don't get me started on the
present publish page).  (Well, this is the usability list, so maybe I
should :-)  For a previous rant, see

But in particular, we could ask if the report relates to an event on a
date.  If that field is filled in, then the full publish page will have
a drop down list of events from the calendar for that day.
