Hi,
Since we're reconsidering the site design these days, I was just thinking
that maybe it's time to play a bit with the way articles and features are
displayed.
I'd need to play around with things a bit to see what they'll look like,
but basically I was thinking that all articles should have a picture, and
when one is not attached, a default one (say imc logo or something) is
shown in its place. The image size could be somewhere between the icon and
the full typical size, with the abstract wrapping round it, like on
startpage. This would be the 'main picture'. As for the rest, when more
than one pic are uploaded, they could be displayed as thumbnails, where
clicking on them would take you to the full size. And I'd suggest they go
in between the abstract and content.
The publish form, I suppose, would have to be amended accordingly, so that
posters are asked to differentiate between the main pic and the rest of
the pics.
This, of course, would not be very great for people doing photo-reports.
So maybe we should have a different template for those?
Just a thought...
