[Imc-uk-useability] Costumized startpage?

I just wanted to point people attention to a new feature of the BBC 
startpage, which is customisation, where users can select their own 
region and topics as to what will display on 'their' startpage when they 
view the site. I thought this might be an idea for the UK Indy 
startpage, or at least something to discuss. It would definitely give 
the user a lot of freedom to customise Indymedia to what they want. Can 
Mir handle this?
