Clickable thumbnails for pics was tried before ~18 months ago?
and was VERY unpopular especially among photographers -
including me. This is mainly cos in order to see all the pics
which are impossible to evaluate when stamp sized, one has to
engage in a frenzy of clicking which becomes very tedious.
