Hey up

There's a debate been started on the tech list[1] about making a smaller
publish form. I've done a version

http://mish.dev.indymedia.org.uk/mish/servlet/OpenMir?do=opensession&sessiontype=article&language=en&to_region=102&to_uk=&nrmediaitems=0&nrftpitems=0&dontpost=Text+Only+Publishing

which has less text when you hover over the tick boxes for regions
etc.

So the question is should that be the default for everyone? Personally
I think it should, but there has been some dissent - ChrisC has said [2]

Would it be better to have a low bandwidth publishing page
without graphics and without any titles on elements etc?

Having the descriptions appear when you mouse over topics
is handy for people on broadband connections who want to
see a longer description of a topic before deciding to
tick it or not and I think it would be a shame to loose
these, but I also appreciate that a low bandwidth version
        is needed...

Do others agree? Should we do a custom separate page for mobile users?
Any other ideas?

And can we keep discussion to just one list - I suggest imc-uk-process -
to avoid clogging up lists of lists. I just thought that features and
useability should know about the discussion.
