Well last time I tried uninstalling, probably with v6.5 or 
thereabouts, it flashed up a scary warning that COMPLETELY 
uninstalling quicktime can cause serious problems. It 
recommended a partial uninstall instead. Maybe it's changed 
with v7.x?
