It says: "*TSUNAMI RELIEF: Dhol Foundation + Rhythms of Resistance +
Bollywood Brass Band + Bushcraft + She'koyokh Klezmer Ensemble + B-loco +
The Rub.... Excellent benefit night featuring Johnny Kalsi's
bhangra'n'beats fusion band, political samba from RoR and the wonderful

INFO ON ARTISTS:

ADF Soundsystem - http://www.asiandubfoundation.com

Their distinctive sound is a combination of hard ragga-jungle rhythms,
indo-dub basslines, searing sitar- inspired guitars and 'traditional'
sounds gleaned from their parents' record collections, shot through with
fast-chat conscious lyrics.

Rhythms of Resistance - www.rhythmsofresistance.co.uk

A political samba band that plays at demonstrations and direct actions.
Consisting of a fluid number of members from all walks of life, they aim
to bring music and noise to some of the more serious and pressing issues
of life.

Dhol Foundation - http://www.dholfoundation.com/

Led by Johnny Kalsi, key drummer for the Afro Celt Sound System, Dhol
Foundation creates an intense mix of rhythm and sound via bhangra, dance,
and electronica - feeding the energy of the urban clubs with their own
Punjabi spirit. Kalsi, using the loud, open tone of the dhol drum has
developed a style of powering big beats and dynamics - a style that has
come to dominate the bhangra and Asian-crossover scene.

DJ Mantu (Transglobal Underground) featuring bellydancer Isis K

>From the infamous Transglobal Underground comes DJ Mantu with an Eastern
inspired set. Mantu recently headlined a NYE party in Prague!

Bushcraft - www.bushcraft.biz

Weird, beautiful, sexy, dangerous, unlike any band you’Äôll hear.
Bushcraft have supported and appeared with Sonic Youth, The Prodigy, The
UK Subs, FSQ and Fifth Amendment, as well as an appearance in the feature
Mutant Dog.

Bollywood Brass Band - http://www.bollywoodbrassband.co.uk/

Punjabi flavours mixed with Anglo-Saxon ingenuity showcase Bollywood
tunes. Their line-up includes members from the bhangra, jazz and folk
scenes. Their sound palette includes 3 sax players, 2 trumpets, 2
trombones, sousaphone and 3 drummers.

"...the BBB are a wonderful turn, transforming bubblegum Bolly tunes into
stately chamber pieces or horny jazz riffs..." Time Out

She'Koyokh Klezmer Ensemble - http://www.shekoyokh.co.uk/

The biggest and busiest klezmer band in London. They have played at many
festivals including Glastonbury. A unique combination of instruments:
clarinet, violin, accordion, mandolin, french horn, cello, double bass,
guitar and percussion. She'Koyokh has given workshops in prisons and drug
rehab centre and also have indeed played at many weddings and barmitzvahs!

B-loco

Born in June 2004, b-loco was created to forge an original musical
identity. The group's sound is rooted in the diverse instruments and
techniques of Brazilian & 'world' percussion, ranging from the modern
sound of Rio's Samba School Baterias to West African Yoruba tradition.
Disregarding stylistic boundaries, a typical b-loco performance could
include hard incisive urban funk, guest MC's, Brazilian carnival Samba,
rootsy African song, or even a classic dance-floor anthem

The Rub ’Äì www.globalizer.org

commodity. EON regularly collaborates with MCs Miss Trouble & Incyte.

AAudio - www.din-collective.co.uk

Predominantly an arranger of sounds, AA steps away from the computer and
up to the turntables to play a selection of far out soundscapes and
subtle rhythms.
