[IMC-Video] Best Way to Record Audio from Speaker

Hi Folks:

Quick question:  I will be recording a speaker over at least a couple  
of days. The speaker will deliver talks (sometimes will move around a  
room) of approximately one hour in duration each.

I have a wireless clip-on mike, as well as a Sony MiniDisc that will  
record in stereo at 44khz. Is this the best option? What other backup  
recording device would you recommend?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
