I should add - on more of a tech note - we worked out a DivX 340x240 codec
setup several years ago, along with other schemes (VP3 , etc), that scaled
very well for broadcast and were simple to use. We really need to reinvest
the time in creating standards for common codecs that work well on the web
as well as for broadcast. It's been hard working with a lot of the material
now in distribution - and that's a shame since we're only talking about a
simple preset. If video.indymedia.org is for redistribution/screening - we
really need to clarify these differences and work on improving the quality
(the differences in files sizes are minimal).
