Hi,

I have few problems with the way IMCUK handles video. The 20Mb limit is a
good discipline which provides fast downloads and for anything bigger a simple
link to the excellent Archive.org will suffice.

Of course a dedicated video CMS would be good but who is going to get it
together and most of all maintain it? There would be the thorny problems
of hiddens, unticks and spam. We can't even manage the simple calender of
events linked from the UK site so what would it be like being spammed with,
say,  porno video? It is important that the Collective should have complete
control and not delegate it.

I wouldn't be happy with sites carrying advertising and the sites that Anna
mentioned seem too regionally specific and might be subject to 'content pulling'.
