EngageMedia are running the transcoding on the same hosting box,  
unless yr being hit by masses of files every 10 minutes this seems to  
work ok though a 2nd server is always optimal. Also with IndyTube you  
can cue videos for transcoding so you can schedule it for quieter times.

true, though most popular formats will work, we also just added  
transcoding _from_ ogg and will hopefully finish transcoding _to_ ogg  
in the next month or so, it's working in alpha.

i think this has already been disputed.

there is no need to throwaway the original, larger file. Plumi should  
have bittorrent distro for these files working in september, it's in  
alpha atm.
