hello there,
i just have one question in regard to this (pretty abstract) discussion
about youtube: anyone have an idea why uploading a video with political
content into youtube might be a problem? no?
this is why youtube is absolutely NO(!) alternative for independent media:
- like other systems with social-networking-character youtube is used as
a platform for guerillia-marketing which makes it hard to evaluate the
authenticity of content
- only one example of many others: in case of the popular al-gore-video
connections could now be traced to an advertising company an the
oilindustry giant exxon and general motors
- what do you know about the moderations on the site?
- there are many other reasons why this is no platform for alternative
media: please do some research
and don't believe the hype! i see no point of discussing youtube as an
alternative in the IMC-video list.
cheers,
andré
