The video i had censored (as in made unavailable for anyone to watch
rather than made available to see only if you pass youtubes age
check) was a video about a bike ride against oil dependence and war,
hardly the hardest goriest of videos (which I'm sure exist on
youtube). It's the inconsistency, unaccountability and lack of
transparency of the platform that makes it unsuitable.

I think most people here will disagree. Ever heard of the saying
'build you world you want to see' or live the change you want to see
in the world? it's not simply a mater of tools, those tools are as
much part of the message as the videos we are talking about. when we
use our tools, free tools, we are promoting a more free world. when
we use there tools (even when they are free) we are reinforcing their
world, a corporate world in which the viewers of our videos are being
sold out for advertising using the 'free' content we provide.
This list is about indymedia video and while support for video within
the indymedia network is currently in poor shape, that doesn't mean
that this list and, the people subscribed to this list, should become
a place for promoting the un free (as in freedom) video platforms
that have left indymedia in their wake.
