[IMC-Video] proposal re: video.indymedia.org, ivdn.indymedia.org

Hi all,

This list has been pretty quiet lately, but there's a lot going on
elsewhere.

I'd like to make a formal proposal here, I'll try to keep it as short as
possible.

1. The main point of my proposal is that we begin the process of
migrating video.indy to a new content management system (CMS).

2. To do this we have to choose the new CMS. I suggest that we choose
between plumi (http://plumi.org), a plone based video sharing CMS being
developed by engagemedia, or video customized drupal
(http://drupal.org), since both of these seem to have developer
communities large enough to be sustainable (unlike any of the indymedia
CMSs, and unlike current video.indy). People on this list need to weigh
in with their opinions.
