"MADE IN ITALY" Candida TV e DMedia 2006

A video documentary made by Candida TV(Italy) and D Media(Romania) in 
2006 on the relation betwen delocalization and migration. The italian 
delocalization of production started in late '80's and today Romania is 
the most important economic partner for Italy, where all the italian's 
high fashion brands are made.
Romania became Italy's backyard country where the labor force is cheaper 
and the production costs are very low. This delocalization caused a 
massive migration of Romanians to Italy looking for a better job and 
life...The instability in the periphery brings instability in the center.
The women mediactivists groups Candida TV and DMedia made a journey into 
the production chain starting from the italian products and brand till 
the romanian factories were these products are made telling the stories 
of the romanian women working in the factories and the stories of the 
italian businesspeople that moved there for the cheap labor costs.
