Hi Anna,
If people from imc-video did decide to go with Plumi
for a Video upload site for video.indymedia.org - how
do you see it working?
Do you think there are enough people with the skills
and time to set up and administer a plumi site along
the existing lines of indymedia sites - ie volunteer
run - and finding a suitable server.
To put in my 2 cents, i'd be pretty happy to see a
plumi video.indymedia.org upload and distribution site
- as you guys have done so much hard work.
Reading back thought the archives, there is also a
point from Ben, who says that video.indymedia.org
should be the mother of all aggregation sites. I'm
very much into that idea and think drupal could work
well for this aspect of the site but there is some
coding to be done there.
Both Mark Burdett and Anna have made moves to
compiling a source of sites with good Media RSS feeds.
Mark is maintaining one here
https://contact.indymedia.org/xml_table.php?id_medium=5
And one is being compiled for the transmission network
- i don't know how best to ask people to feed into
that. Maybe email me and i'll put it on the wiki
http://wiki.transmission.cc/index.php/TransmissionMiroPlayer
I guess it would be good to pool resources on this
aspect.
