best thing to do here is to join the plumi discussion list:
http://lists.plumi.org/listinfo/discuss

andycat or trollfot (programmers, unlike myself) on that list should be 
able to help you through the installation process and point you in the 
right direction re. documentation of Plone and Plumi.

i did install Plumi the other day on my machine, but it's a mac not 
linux so a bit different.

someone had the idea of creating a cookbook for the install - perhaps 
you could send through your notes on this to the Plumi discussion list 
while you do it? we might be able to create a nice walk-through from that.
