hi, i would also try to help get this request approved by imc-finance if 
someone wrote it.

how about a donate link on video.indy to some donation service (maybe 
use an existing indymedia paypal account)

and it would be nice if monthly donations could be reported on the site 
(we do this on indybay.org by recording paypal instant payment 
notifications to a db table)
