Sure, this is easy.

Sure, again, no problem.

Actually I don't think any of these redirects (or
sub-domains) are set up to work for https, but if it's
needed it could be done.

An .htaccess file can, if they are permitted, override the
main apache configuration file (the web server is called
apache) and they are handy if you don't have the ability
to edit the main apach config, but we do, so they are not
needed.

All these redirects are trivial compared to the task of
the creating the Mir templates and the translation of the
templates...
