Hello
My understanding of maqui's comments is that posts from overseas without
translation are sometimes posted to the newswire. It is fairly standard
practice to hide these.
With the change to officially supporting a second language (Welsh/
Cymraeg) then there is no question that posts in a supported language
will be allowed to show.
So a better way of phrasing what Maqui says is to propose a guideline
saying
articles and/or comments may be hidden for the following reasons:
...
* Unsupported Language: Articles that are in unsupported languages, and
that do not contain a translation or, at least, a summary of its content
in a supported language. Currently the supported language for IMC UK is
English.
Then, assuming the new collective becomes part of IMC UK (and I hope it
does :) then we add Welsh/Cymraeg to the list of supported languages.
Note this isn't actually a proposal, just for discussion for now. But
if anyone wants to propose something along these lines ...
