I'm not sure I can, I was making plans for this weekend already... but you
have the backgroudn info from london ;-) and some one else could do
support but I think it is pretty short notice for a full weekend to be
honest... I know you must have been discussing this, but Christmas is a
difficult period to be online at least for me...

I think this is quite important - usually when deciding a meeting the most
important thing is how to get there and how to "stay" there... so usually
a social centre or similar is the decisive factor. How is the attendance,
meeting and catering organised then? Is this just a day-in thing?
> How important is internet access at the meeting?
It is not vital really, a place to sleep and eat is far more important.
> Can we
> manage without?
perfectly.
> Anything else
> we need to think about?
If this is going to be a weekend-long meeting, then again space to
sleep... If most people do live in this city then it is not too important,
but then the whole setting changes and you need to be aware that there are
more people who need to participate in the decisions - if absolutely no
provision is made for sleeping etc. then an internet connection becomes
more necessary so that the rest of the people can attend via irc., but i
would not recommend this if people are not already confident on irc which
i think it is the case.
In any case, it is absolutely vital that some one (or some some) do take
notes and posts them to the list and/or some space on the wiki.
... and then an agenda needs to be at least drafted before hand. The order
in which things are discussed can be sorted once there - like we did in
london...
I hope this helps
