[Imc-wales] Meeting venue confirmed for 3rd Feb

Just to confirm that I've booked the Vic from 1pm on Saturday 3rd Feb for our meeting.

I'll make sure there's some vegan food to share, and tea, coffee, fruit teas etc.

Can anyone else who's not travelling too far help out by bringing some food with them to share?

We'll have access to the kitchen area at the Vic.

Please try and get the message out about this meeting, and encourage other activists, grassroots 
campaigners, and groups who are mis- or under-represented in the mainstream media to come along.

However, it's important for people to be made aware that this list has been set up to work towards a 
regional page for Wales within indymedia united kollectives (www.indymedia.org.uk), and that's what 
this meeting will be working on.

A separate group is working to relaunch the indycymru site or to set up another indymedia site 
independent of uk indymedia.  Anyone interested in this option can read the archives and join the 
group at http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/listinfo/imc-cymru.

This meeting will not be a place to discuss the pros and cons of each option, which has already been 
done at length on the imc-cymru list some months ago.  The result of that discussion was the setting 
up of this list to work within uk, while the other list continues to work for an independent site. 
The Feb 3rd meeting will be looking at how to take the next step of setting up our Wales regional 
page on the indymedia.org.uk site.  There will also be an option for those who want to, to learn 
about doing admin on the uk site.  This will be after the main meeting.  We have the venue until 7pm 
if needed.

There is no reason why both groups shouldn't achieve their objectives, which will be great for 
independent media in Wales.
