[Imc-wales] Indymedia Network meeting in Aberystwyth 1-2 December

Hi all,

after a week of this email, announcing for a meeting for as early as 1-2
December (i.e. 2 weeks notice for people to take the weekend off which
seems a bit short notice to me...), there have only been 4 confirmations
of attendance (see

and already I can count from the emails I receive 6 notices of people
from London who definitely can't make it, one more from Manchester and
one more from Scotland.

It seems to me that a meeting with lots of people (hopefully!) from
Wales but only other 3 from the rest of the network is not really a
network meeting, it might be a wonderful wales -with - input- from -rest
- of -uk meeting, and it can be used in that way, but I think it is
worth proposing to postpone it.

So could we have a bit more discussion on dates "after january"?

One way we have had in the past to communicate were irc meetings; this
time it can not be done so I we'll have to have other means so that
people from the network can have an input on dates, and find some that
at least most people can make. this might be tedious to do on email so
we'll have to think of ways ... first decide in what lists to have
discussion on dates, might it be network list?

I feel horrible proposing to postpone this after so much encouraging
Wales people to host this meeting but I thought it would be too
discouraging for us to travel that long and only see other 5 people or
so from the rest of the network...
