Minutes of Wellington Indymedia Collective meeting held on
Wednesday 13 September at Oblong internet cafe
Meeting commenced 7.15 pm
Apologies: Kieran, Sebastian

1.Money: We finally received a cheque for $477.50 from the
Film Archive for our share from the February film nights,
giving total funds of $525.62. We are due $243 as our share
of door sales at the August film nights and the semi-defunct
Committee for the Establishment of Civilisation is donating
$150 to Windymedia. Outgoings: $83.60 to Kieran for AIM
domain name payment, $21 for printing last W((i))ndy. We
have still to donate $100 to Wellington Animal Rights
Network. We agreed to donate $20 to the Magnetic Fridge
Diary and to set aside some funds for group travel costs to
attend the AIM 2007 convergence.
2.Next film night: Urs is keen to get Tame Iti to come to
Wellington when we show the English-version Tuhoe film. Ken
will ask the Film Archive about available weekend dates for
Oct. to December. We also decided to show two films on
Friday 13 October at 128 Abel Smith Street in support of the
NZDIA protests the following week. Urs has booked the
projector and will book 128.
3.Lending films to Revolting Books (anarchist library at 128
Abel Smith Street). Val asked if the library could stock
copies of all films that Windymedia owns, for lending,
Agreed. Urs will talk to the Devzone librarian about getting
copies of our films held there.
4.Aotearoa Indymedia Convergence 2007. Will probably be held
in Auckland the weekend before Waitangi Day, Fri. 2 to Sun.
4 February 2007. We could show short films about the history
of Indymedia. Omar is keen to help and Danyl has offered go
a week early to help. Venue needs to be booked.
5.W((i))ndy. Publication was revived last month – thanks
Urs. We agreed to publish a September edition, meeting at
Oblong at 7 pm on Wednesday 27 September to compile it.
Maybe write a rant or two as well as using feature articles
from web site.
6.Films. Kotahi te Ao film project has copies of DSEI and We
Interrupt this Empire, for showing at 128 next month. We
also agreed to look at buying Iraq for Sale, recommended by
Kieran.

Meeting closed 8 pm. Next meeting: Wednesday 11 October, 7
pm at Oblong internet cafe.
