Minutes of meeting of Wellington Indymedia Collective
held at Oblong Internet Cafe, 7 pm on Wednesday 8 August 2007

Present: Strypey, Urs, Ken

1. Welcome back to Urs!
2. AIM DVD project - various footage will be compiled onto a dvd for sale.
There is a wiki on the site under
http://docs.indymedia.org/viewauth/Aotearoa/AimDvd2007. We discussed
advancing money to cover the initial costs of buying and copying dvds.
Agreed.
3. Films. We have a dvd of The Road to Guantanamo (90 minutes). Ken has
contacted the Film Archive and we are awaiting a date to show it.
Other dvds we have or could get: Big Easy to Big Empty (30 minutes, about
the New Orleans flood) has been bought. We agreed to buy Invisible Children
(about child soldiers) for US$20 plus postage.  Also Indigenous peoples and
nuclear power, about South America. Ken will try to contact the producers.
4. Finances. We have $691 after paying for last month's W((i))ndy
photocopying.
5. VBC radio show is being run by Mark and Ali using feature articles from
the AIM site. Urs will help Ali with Thursday's show.
6. W((i))ndy. Ken and ?maybe Urs will produce this month's issue in the
last week of August.
7. Hits on AIM site. Strypey is going to talk to Dave about this.
