Minutes of Wellington Indymedia collective meeting held on
Wednesday 13 June at Oblong Internet Cafe

Present: Sebastian, Ken, Ali (later)
Apologies: Danyl

1. Film nights. We were offered a Friday/Saturday slot next
week at the Film Archive but had nothing suitable to show,
so agreed to let the Wellington Palestine Group show The
Iron Wall.

2. Indymedia Radio Show has been taken on by Ali and Mark,
who have joined the collective. The show is on Thursdays,
12-1 pm on VBC, 88.3 FM. Ali will include a call-out for
Indymedia volunteers.

3. Finances. We received a cheque for $394 for the Iraq for
Sale film shows. We spent $42 on the May issue of W((i))ndy,
$5 for 100 copies of the AIM flyer and donated $20 to the
next Fridge Diary, leaving $561 in our funds.

4. Melissa Savage from Huia publishers asked if we wanted a
review copy of Maria Bargh's book Resistance: an indigenous
response to neoliberalism. She has been told that we can't
allow any advertising on the web site, but in the meantime
Asher has offered to review the book for the site and
W((i))ndy. Ken has passed on his address to her.

5. Videos. Strypey sent an email about two possible films,
about the G8 and Iraq. Sebastian said Oblong has a copy of
The Road to Guantanamo, about some UK citizens who went to a
wedding in Afghanistan and ended up in Guantanamo Bay as
terrorist suspects.

6. W((i))ndy. Ken will compile the June issue in the last
week of the month. He suggested using part of Urs's latest
email about G8 protests. Agreed.
Also repeat the notice asking for Indymedia volunteers.
Change email address back to wellington at indymedia.org.
Include a notice about the VBC Indymedia radio show. Agreed.
