Minutes of monthly meeting of Wellington Indymedia collective at Oblong
Internet Cafe on Wednesday 16 April 2008 at 7 pm

Present: Urs, Ken
Apologies: Darren

1. Film night on Sunday 30 March: We showed Outfoxed and Big Easy to Big
Empty. 15 people attended.
Koha was $31, projector hire $20 and $6 was given to 128 collective for use
of venue.

2. Finances: We finished the financial year with $325. Ken circulated the
annual accounts (attached). Current funds - $205 after subtracting
donations to fridge diary and Oct 15 Solidarity group (see below).

3. Otautahi and Hamilton proposed IMCs: Neither group has applied yet. Urs
felt that active local collectives, i.e. Auckland and Wellington, should
have a say in approving any application to set up a new IMC.

4. Donation of $100 to Oct. 15 Solidarity group, towards Auckland marae
accommodation costs during September depositions hearing. Agreed. Ken has
given a cheque to them.

5. Donation to Magnetic Fridge Diary: Agreed to give $20. Ken will arrange.

6. Next W((i))ndy: To be compiled at Oblong internet cafe on Wednesday 23
April at 7 pm and printed at Rebel Press the following day.

7. Tuuhoe film show during Matariki: Ken emailed the Film Archive but
hasn't heard back. An alternative is showing it in August in connection
with the Day of Action taking place before the depositions hearing.

8. Borrowing films from Auckland Indymedia collective: Ken will email John
and Omar.

9. Next film night: Sunday 25 May, 7.30 pm at 128 Abel Smith St. We will
show The Coconut Revolution and The War of 33. Urs will get film from
Devzone and book projector and 128.

10. The War of 33 dvd about Lebanon invasion 2006: Ken will buy from Big
Noise films. Cost US$20 including postage.

11. Overlap of W((i))ndy and Magnetic Fridge Diary: Urs suggested looking
at a joint publication. Ken thought the diary could be an insert. Arrange
to meet with Jen to discuss possibilities.
