Minutes of Wellington Indymedia collective meeting held at Oblong Internet
Cafe on Wednesday 11 June 2008
Meeting commenced 7 pm
Present: Urs, Ken
Apologies: Danyl, Kerry

1. Matariki film nights Friday/Saturday 13/14 June. Urs has done a poster
and will put some around town. He has also converted Matt's film to dvd and
dropped off at Film Archive. Ken has given them the Tuuhoe film and emailed
various activist loops and posted a notice on AIM site (subsequently
incorporated in a feature article). Urs has organised speakers for both
nights.

2. Joint publication W((i))ndy/Fridge diary/Oct 15 update. Further meeting
next Tuesday 17 June around 2 pm at Oblong. Urs will let Val and Jen know.

3. Matt's email about film screenings around Aotearoa. Urs will draft email
to Film Archive to see if they have a slot around 20 July, preferably
Friday.

4. Finances. We have $130 after donation to Fridge Diary ($20), printing
and posting W((i))ndy 7(10). We made $5 at last 128 film screening.

5. Waikato Indymedia. Russell is keen to set up a group. Currently some
people are screening films and calling themselves Indymedia, although they
have not affiliated. Urs and Ken have written to Russell encouraging him to
go ahead, preferably incorporating the film subgroup.

6. Film screening at Abel Smith Street to coincide with G8 (7-9 July) - on
Friday 4 July, 7 pm, showing Berlusconi's Mousetrap. Urs will book 128,
film and projector. Ken will ask Sam B. if he wants to speak, and do
publicity. Meet at Oblong at 6 pm to transport gear.

7. Next W((i))ndy. Meet at Oblong Wednesday 25 June 6 pm.

8. Ali's email about suitable dvds for a friend in Dunedin to screen. Ken
has emailed her with a list of Indymedia vids held by DevZone and a couple
of other good films they have.

9. National AIM meeting. We suggested a possible meeting in December in
Poneke/Wellington, if some people who are overseas have come back and
others are allowed freedom of association. Ken will email imc-aotearoa.

Meeting closed 7.50 pm

Next meeting: Wednesday 9 July, 7 pm at Oblong Internet Cafe
