some of you may be interested in the magdalena aotearoa gathering 
which is happening over easter, 20-25 march, at the newtown community

magdalena aotearoa is a network of women in contemporary theatre, & 
the focus of the gathering is to have a platform to present and 
discuss work-in-progress. there are also panel discussions & 
presentations that may be of interest to you. i will be presenting 
about my recent trip to cuba (to a magdalena festival held there in 
january), & one of the panel discussions is about arts & activism 
with representatives from different local arts groups.

will be finalised on thursday evening when the gathering begins. the 
fee is very small & includes really delicious lunches (with 
vegan/vegetarian/wheat-free options) & there will be lots of room for 
networking & exchange. the gathering is open to men & women, theatre 
practitioners, other artists & interested people.
