[IMC-York] Meeting

I would like us to have another meeting. I could make it from about 8
on the 11th, anytime on the 13th. (And anytime most other evenings
except mondays and the 20th july). Minster Inn OK for me.

Sorry I haven't chipped in to discussions about websites, but I've
been confused by the options (also haven't been checking emails very
often). Personally I find the requirement to do this representative
stuff daunting...

 "How does the makeup of your collective reflect the diversity of
 the local community (e.g. in realtion to gender-, sexual-,
spiritual-,
 and/or cultural-identity)? If your group currently does not
represent
 the diversity of the local community, particularly in relation to
groups
 who are underrepresented in mainstream society and denied access to
 vehicles of expression, what steps will be taken to address this on
an
 ongoing basis? 
 ...but agreed because it's a worthy goal, and if we can put in the
time I assume it would reap massive benefits in getting more people
involved in social change (rather than staying in our activisty
groups).

I agree on need to discuss getting a decision on 'mission statement'
and 'editorial policy'. And discuss 'big meeting of interested
network' and starting the 'new-imc process' (will have to do some
prelim reading first).
We should also discuss to what extent / how we are going to involve
activist groups which don't seem to use emial/the web much ...some of
the most active people i've met in yatw and trade justice don't use
computers.
