Just to let everyone know that I am doing some work for the collective
at the moment, so noone thinks I've fallen asleep.

I've put in a final commit to the Indymedia site source code which
should hopefully update the banners on the left hand column to be links
to the common place, the 1 in 12 club and the trades club websites as
agreed at a previous meeting I would do. I have to wait for someone to
apply the changes on the server but I'm hoping this won't take long
before they show up.

There's going to be a lot of changes coming up soon I hope so I really
want to stress the importance to everyone to get involved. Remember this
is a collective and not just a resource to be consumed :-) If we all
pull together I really and truly believe we can create a fantastic place
for grassroots campaigners and activists to collaborate and really make
a difference to the local world around us.

On that note, I've (sort of) managed to sort out a small space at the
Glastonbury green futures field where we can try to get some involvement
in the process of Leeds/Bradford and UK indymedia. Is anyone going to
the festival (or not) that can volunteer a bit of time to help make this
happen? I've got a solar panel to run a laptop for a "publish your news
here" area and could do with some help making a bike-powered generator
too. Also, could we perhaps work together on some campaign posters eg
who we are, what we do, how to get involved, what we stand for which we
can take to Glasto and hopefully also use for a big collective
recruitment drive in our region? I'm willing to devote a good chunk of
my free time to this but it isn't possible without others involved in a
collective process, as that is surely what we are all about :-)

I'll be at work for the next few days but will try and check my emails
when I can, hopefully we can get some discussion going on this. Also, as
ever, has anyone seen anything on the UK wire which they feel would be
of interest to users of LBIMC? If so, maybe we could post the links to
this list and tick them for our newswire.

In Solidarity
