Latin America challenges Bush's empire
In just one week, another Latin American president fell in the face of a
mass anti-imperialist movement, and Washington lost an embarrassing, and
important, battle in the Organisation of American States meeting to a
campaign spearheaded by Venezuela's left-wing government. Has Bush lost
control of his own backyard? Green Left Weekly offers a special look at
the continent threatening US global hegemony.

Australian union leaders: `Defy Howard's laws!'
<http://www.greenleft.org.au/back/2005/630/630p24.htm>
If anything summed up the mood of defiance at the National Union
Fightback Conference at Trades Hall in Melbourne on June 11, it was the

Victorian secretary Craig Johnston.
