This message is a statement about how I was publicly accused of harassment during conflicts in and around London Indymedia.
The statement is endorsed by 14 people.

In the next message I'll add comments,
and I'll send some background information for anyone who wants to read that.

Here's the statement:

-------------------

After reviewing the facts related to accusations about Toban's
supposed "menacing" and "harassing behaviour" in Indymedia, it is
apparent that these accusations are false, and should be withdrawn.

We reach this conclusion in part based on Toban's admission that he
could and should have shown more respect and consideration in an
e-mail that he sent to an individual (in mid March). Toban has since
written a letter of apology regarding the matter to that individual.

The accusations against Toban have been repeatedly raised in public
in a very inappropriate way that, we believe, was a form of
harassment. An equally public apology from each of the three people
behind these accusations therefore would be appropriate.
