[mir-coders] Ongoing problems with the UK site

Hi

For several weeks now we have had a lot of errors on the
UK site, pages not generating, errors uploading etc, etc.

It *appears* that this could be related to the server
having a lot of "Too many open files" errors, this started
back in Feb after we upgraded to the latest 1.1 CVS.

Max suggested that the problem could be caused by the
search engin, so we have switched the site to use google
for searches but this doensn't seem to make much
difference.

Anyone have any suggestions? Have any other Mir sites had
problems like this?
