That does sound awesome. Also, I'd love to add a more simple template
editing interface to the admin site, so that, along the lines of drupal,
you could load a template in the admin interface, edit it and preview
your change. I don't see now any way now for people to edit templates
without having shell access to run ant.

Also, components are awesome in drupal, and would be nice if people
could write them for mir.

Also, user accounts would be really awesome. I think that a major part
of what indymedia does is create or facilitate community, and any
features in that direction are critical.

I agree that our biggest problem right now, and its a huge problem, is
that we mostly have one developer. Or maybe 2? That's really scary.

How many folks on this list are in the US? Could we organize a US mir
meeting, since the europe people seem to have just met and there are
much fewer cool tech convergences in the US. Or maybe we should think
about a general US Indy tech convergence. Or even a smaller one would be
cool, like for the west coast, but I feel like John is one of the main
people in the US working on mir and he's on the east coast.

I'd like to get more involved, if I could have more of an intro. I
imagine lots of people would. I feel like I need to get a big dump from
John or Zapata, and that would be far easier in person and would
possibly lead to the beginning of some developer documentation.
