Hi. It was recently brought to our attention at sdimc that our site was
very, very hard for blind users to navigate. To resolve this issue, I
made a simple text only template and added a link for it at the top of
the page, only the 5th link down from the start of the html.
Do other sites have blind friendly layouts? If not, I'd suggest that you
consider adding them. I wonder how many other indymedia sites are
basically inaccessible for blind folks.
I ran this by one of our users who's blind and she said that it worked
well with her computer. I think it uses an audio interface, or possibly
braille.
