[New-imc] Re: IRC meeting

Hi Ana, Clara, Rosa, etc.

I'm really happy that there was an IRC meeting to get new-imc more
organized. That's great! Sorry I wasn't able to make it. I've been
staying somewhere lately with really irregular e-mail contact.

Over the last year or so, maybe even two (!), I've been much less involved
in global Indymedia than I had been. Been working really hard here in
Philadelphia on a number of activist projects, and have non-Indymedia
things happening that have been inspiring as well.

Since I haven't had too much time, I've basically just taken the
responsibility of responding to all U.S.-based IMCs that fill our their
form. I send them general information and offer myself as a point of
contact until someone else from the new-imc list offers to be their
sponsor. Lately I haven't been involved at all in European or Latina
IMCs. (I've dabbled a bit in supporting African groups.)

I have not updated the WIKI with any of my information, so shame on
me! I'll start to do that.

I would be happy to continue to reply to U.S. groups, and to be a contact
for people on this list who want to sponsor an IMC but have questions about
how to do it. I'm afraid if I commit to more than that I may not be able
to live up to my promises, which is something I've been very careful lately
to take into consideration.

I'll do what I can to follow this developing discussion and follow any
decisions made to help things on new-imc run as smoothly as possible.

With much love and respect,
Jay
