introductory_statement:
The aim to develop an open-access, independent, local media for Nottingham and surrounding area has inspired us to become part of the Global Indymedia Network. It is very important to us to develop a media network in Nottingham that reflects the diversity of our local community, both urban and rural,  creating a space for people to voice their issues. We feel this would provide an umbrella network for allready established local campaign and comminty groups.

resources:
Just having had our first meeting, there are various people with technical, organisational and creative skills witin our IMC collective. We allready have links with other UK based IMC\'s which offered their support in training and technical support.

outreach:
We\'ve set up a mailing list, contacted various groups within our area and an \'outreach\' working group is working as part of our collective to ensure we continually involve a broad range of individuals and groups within the IMC.

identity_makeup:
It doesn\'t, we\'ve just had our first meeting and we feel it is absolutely vital to get a diversity of groups and individuals involved within the IMC such as some of the Indian, Pakistani, Vietnamese, Woman\'s and Refugee groups.

steps_represent_diversity:
The reason for requesting two URL\'s is that we want all the different communities within Nottinghamshire to have ownership of the indymedia site. Not everybody in the county idetifies themselves with Nottingham as a city. See above for a further answer on the question.

steps_involve_new_workfields:
We hope to get traioning from other UK IMC\'s and share practical skills and knowledge within our IMC collective.
