Server searching is something I think all American
IMC's should be doing in their hometowns. MAny of us
(including us in Boston) still rely on the global
folks to find us space, but there are groups in all of
our hometowns that are supportive. We've been
obsessing about it since our site has developed
massive problems at our new location (given by
somebody elsewhere in the network) and we have luckily
found a donor of space that will hopefully solve our
problems.
I'm not sure how others do this, but I know that NY
has ended up on our same server and goes down only
slightly less than us. NYC must have other
opportunities for hosting. We owe it to the sites in
the global south to find more server space and our
greatest tool is our numbers.
Just my opinion...puttin it out there
