hi all, i am on issue 17 of the daily roundups. currently there are
some proposals and blocks flying all ove rthe place. i havent been
involved with new-imc directly for a spell, i had worked with tampa bay
and miami and didnt do a good job. process is hard, especially when it
doesnt exist.

what i am seeing from this list is not anything near consensus. in
portland, we use a trust + consensus model, where we trust each other
first and then find consensus. having never met most of you and
probably never meeting most of you it is hard to give out trust,
therefore it is hard for me to work on consensus.

one thing that we do have in portland is a clear idea of our consensus
model. which says "a block is statement that means if this group moves
forward with this proposal, i will not be able to be a part of this any
longer" clara blocking deja as a new-imcista is just bad form. deja,
halfway across the world is actually doing work, and that is good. i
want to support the work that is getting done EVEN IF I DONT AGREE WITH
IT.

all these proposals and blocks just make me want to stop reading, it is
like a petty infight. and no one knows where to start or stop. i guess
that is the nature of global lists and a fake unity.

ps. my point to this is that you all should try to work together and
find a common ground instead of coming from a position of no compromise.
