PROPOSAL NEW MAILING LIST imc-ps-process VERSION 2.0

(1) Since the old IMC Palestine still has people, including lubna and
     bilal, running the old mailing list:
     http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/listinfo/imc-palestine this
     proposal is to CREATE A NEW, PROCESS LIST (which can deal with,
     among other things, what to do with the old list, by communicating
     with people involved in the old imc palestine), using "ps" which
     is shorter than "palestine", since imc-palestine-process is very
     long to type:

(2) ADMINS: Mutually acceptable volunteer admins seem to include:

     * saed

Does anyone have concerns about any of these individuals?

(3) saed bannoura, raad, shadi, haitham - are you are willing to be
     list admins of imc-ps-process?

This is an important communication responsibility - in practice may
not require much time - but it may require some "process" thinking and
reading (in English) and it may be important for preventing any

i've updated proposal version 1.0 to this version 2.0 above with the
following changes:

* since bilal seems to be admin (kidar194) on the old imc-palestine
list, the proposal (part (1)) loses meaning - and it makes more sense
to have new mailing list admins

* since jenka had concerns about IMEMC/PNN being excluded, i added 
saedb from IMEMC to the proposal - while he has a "press wire manager"
title, at least he's not the overall director of IMEMC - this is my
arbitrary choice since noone else made a proposal.

* since haitham has responded to new-imc, and since he seems to be 
an active palestinian blogger and comfortable with English, his inclusion
could help in terms of communication and "moderate" tech knowledge



i think most people are eager to have the mailing list started,
but if anyone has objections to the general proposal or concerns
that an individual may be perceived by some as insufficiently neutral
(for this limited, though important role), please speak up!

i suggest we use "rough consensus" for this decision - we wait a
few days, see if we have acceptance from any or all of the four,
and then we tell listwork that we have consensus on those who
accepted to create the list.

After all, as long as the initial admins are sufficiently open and
communicative, further changes can be decided later.

My feeling is that the proposal below satisfies one of petros' major
concerns, that several local people have "power" right from the 
beginning, including "meta-" power - there are no "internationals"
among the admins AFAIK.

And (i would hope) it satisfies jenka's request to include an IMEMC/PNN
person, while avoiding the top person in what looks like a hierarchy
(but may not be a hierarchy in reality).

Anyway:

SAED BANNOURA, RAAD, SHADI, HAITHAM - are you are willing to be
list admins of imc-ps-process? Please read the proposal above
and respond to  new-imc at lists.indymedia.org if you wish/accept
to be a list admin.
