Hello new-imc group,

Just a few minutes ago, in the process of a discussion about editorial
decisions regarding an article the global imc site central column on the
events unfolding right now in Palestine and Lebanon, Jenka sent us a "by
the way" update about the situation with the recent efforts to
reorganize imc-Palestine.

It's copied below, for your records.

I will still continue to work with any Palestinian radical and/or
independent journalists who might still want to associate with
IndyMedia, despite our terrible and embarrassing reputation in the area.

Any feedback or critique of my words/ behaviour/ attitudes from any of
you on this project would be welcome.

Thanks,
Petros

the hardworking volunteers and few underpaid staff at
http://www.imemc.org (english) and http://www.pnn.ps (arabic) are
keeping up with and surpassing the corporate media's coverage of these
events.

and btw.....the 'palestine indymedia' idea was given up by the folks who
originally proposed it because ppl are sick of having to justify their
every decision to internationals who claim they want it to be
'palestinian-led' but want to micro-manage every single aspect.
particularly boud and petros.

the hard-working media activists in palestine are too busy trying to
cover the _constantly_ unfolding events to have to argue with
internationals about the local choices (that are made with very good
reasons) as to how to present those events to the world.

if you want up-to-date news, check the two sites mentioned above. if
you want endless arguments, join an indymedia list or group. but people
here in palestine don't have time for endless arguments, there's too
much news to cover.

peace.
jenka
